This month’s client of the month is Ben Reeder from BentMatter Entertainment.

Not only is he one of our great clients, he is also the loving husband of  Homeroom’s Digit Girl Nina and the mastermind behind our fun website and Christmas photos.

After graduating from BCIT Marketing Management program in 1998 Ben started BentMatter Entertainment a company that specializes in video production, live video installations and rentals.

In 2002 he started Open Studios, which is located at 252 E 1st Ave, Vancouver. The venue has a pre-lit 3 color shooting stage for hire and hosts two events a month that  focus on electronic dance music and live audio visual performances.

What do you enjoy the most about being a business owner?

Getting to pick who I work with and what we on work is always a bonus.

What motivated you to start your own business?

Its in my blood, I couldn’t imagine life being any other way.

What advice do you have for other people who would like to start their own business?

Don’t start a business with your family unless they are silent partners.

How do you achieve a work life balance?

Well having a family really helped define the end of the work day.

And finally who could benefit from your services?

Anyone who wants to make a video, need’s to throw an event, need’s a studio for their photo shoot or needs audio visuals for a concert.
